Treatment encourages oxygen, blood, lymph, waste and toxins to flow more easily and the organs and associated tissues are revitalised, bringing about an improved state of well-being.
Alison’s ‘Abdominal Massage for Stress’ is mainly a fusion of ‘Amno Fu’ (chinese massage) and Abdominal-Sacral Massage. Gently working the fascia and connective tissue in the abdominal and lower back area, unwinds, removes and reduces stress, tension and trauma from the digestive and reproductive organs.
Carrying stress, tension and trauma in the abdominal and sacral areas may cause hormonal imbalance, weakness of the gut, blockage and restriction as well as discomfort and even pain. Massaging these areas may alleviate symptoms that you may experience with common digestive issues but is also effective in reducing problems associated with hormonal imbalance which presents in puberty, during menopause and, more recently with issues relating to fertility.
Lower back pain may be caused by tight core abdominal muscles, abdominal tension or trauma to the lumbar muscles. This treatment can be very effective in releasing trauma to the pelvic region post surgery, investigation or after a serious accident.
The Chinese believe that ‘qi’ energy becomes stagnant if blocked or restricted within the body – massaging these areas frees the energy, particularly associated with digestion, reproduction and menstrual irregularities.
During the treatment there may be discomfort where pockets or areas of tension are worked, however tension tends to subside bringing about relaxation, and a feeling of space and lightness to this area.
This treatment is very beneficial for all types of abdominal and digestive distress including IBS, post operation scarring, as well as conditions such PCOS, Endometriosis, Miscarriage, Menopause etc. For men, treatment can be carried out at any time but for women it cannot be received if you have a coil or during pregnancy or menses.
